We are Funfair Seiterä, officially preventing boredom in Finland with more than 50 years of experience. Our aim is to make the world a funnier place one municipality at a time – because fun is for everyone!
Funfair Seiterä – previously Theme Park Seiterä – was established by Lauri Seiterä in 1966. Lauri and Johanna Seiterä’s son, Tuomo Seiterä, became the funfair’s director in 1991, and he shares the management responsibilities together with his wife, Mari Seiterä.
Our funfair has offered laughter and joy for decades. Our colourful team loves being on the road for fun and annually brings fun and joy to town to dozens of different places in Finland. The mission of our family business is to offer joy to people alongside having fun, snacks and enjoyable together time – the shrieks of happiness form the most beautiful music for our ears! On the road – for fun
We set off on our tour each year at the beginning of spring. Our amusement caravan takes fun and joy across Finland from one visiting municipality to another. Unloading the load at each tour location and constructing the funfair area and its rides takes a whole day in total. After a few fun days, the funfair is packed up again just as quickly, when all the fun is disassembled and loaded in to the trucks. At the end of the construction day, all the rides are inspected, test run and cleaned. During the visiting week, the rides are inspected, test run and, where necessary, serviced each day, so they would serve visitors in the best and safest manner.
During the tour, our staff live at the funfair and the municipalities become familiar. Happy caravan life is enjoyed until the end of September. The winter season is far from lounging around. At the end of the season, the major equipment services, repairs and paint work are carried out at the funfair depot, and the next tour is planned.
